It’s been a hot minute since my last blog post, and by hot minute I mean ONE YEAR – yikes! Sorry, friends. Sure, I’m still active on Instagram, and yes, I have a 9-5, which takes time out of my day, but there’s absolutely no excuse for taking an entire year off from blogging. TBH, I don’t like it. I’ve missed blogging, and it makes me sad to see my blog turn into a ghost town. Smh.
Anyway, I’m back! Hi! I want to share with you all what I bought from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. The #nsale officially opens to the public TODAY (no Nordstrom card required!). Obviously, I, along with every other blogger binged on the sale last week. Lots of goodies sold out quickly, but I have a feeling they’ll be restocked for public access. I haven’t bought any boots yet so I’m hoping for a restock! So yeah, here’s what I bought so far:
Denim
I talked a little bit about this on insta stories. One thing I always buy from the #nsale is JEANS. Like all kinds of jeans — expensive jeans, ripped jeans, jeans I can wear to work, etc. Who doesn’t love getting jeans on sale, especially jeans that are $200+? Yeah. The $200+ jeans I’m talking about are the high waist skinny jeans by AG. The denim feels so soft and luxurious, you won’t want to go back to your Abercrombie jeans. Plus it looks ultra flattering – it’s like a pushup bra for your bum and hides any sign of a muffin top. These are the kind of jeans you can wear to work, feel comfy, and still look polished. And they’re also the kind of jeans you can wear to Bartaco, eat a bunch of tacos, and still have room for ice cream. They fit true to size.
The other jeans I bought are way less expensive. Like under or around $50. You know, like those Topshop jeans that look cute and trendy, and give the illusion that you squat every day. Just make sure to size up in these jeans – they’re tight (I usually wear a 24 and I bought a 26). And last but not least, I snagged some ripped Free People jeans that I can’t wait to pair with this Song of Style top that keeps selling out. They fit true to size.
Bags
Every #nsale I go straight to the handbags to see the new Tory Burch selection. I love a big Tory Burch bag that I can tote around for travel and work. I did an instagram story poll to try to choose between the black or tan bag — most of you voted for tan and that’s what I went with! It’s also available in a pretty light blush color too.
Teddy bear coat
Ok, so if you follow me on Instagram (I’m not that annoying, I promise), you may have seen the teddy bear coat I’ve been raving about. It’s adorable. However, if you live in the northeast or anywhere where it really, really gets cold, this is definitely more of a fall coat than a winter one. It’s light and thinly lined despite the soft and fuzzy exterior, but I’m ok with that. I can’t wait to wear this while drinking an (iced) PSL on the first day of fall. It’s also under $65! Fits true to size.
Basic tops
For me, the #nsale is the perfect opportunity to stock up on basic camis, tops, and bodysuits under $30 that I can wear for work or on the weekend. It makes me feel efficient idk. Definitely not done shopping in this department yet, but here’s what I got so far:
Speaking of basics, I also bought these petite-friendly work pants. Size down in these.
SPANX
The last thing I bought from the sale so far is SPANX. Bc of course. I live in leggings from fall-spring, so I had to buy my favorite faux leather leggings, which are on sale for under $65!
Like I said, I’m still not finished shopping and I need to buy boots, so I’ll update y’all with part 2 very soon — definitely way sooner than next year :).
