When Sephora has a sale, you need to stop everything and shop. Starting April 20 through April 23, beauty insider members will get up to 15% off ANY product with code YAYRouge (VIB Rouge members get 15% off and Rouge members get 10% off). This kind of sale only happens a few times a year, and as someone who shops at Sephora every month, I can’t let a 15% discount go to waste!
So, I’ve rounded up my top five favorite products from Sephora. These are products that I regularly use and stand by 100%.
When Kim Kardashian gives hair advice, you listen. Y’all know I take haircare very seriously – I have naturally curly hair that I heat style all the time and also dye my hair regularly. So needless to say, I’ve tried dozens of deep conditioning masks to prevent damage and nourish my hair. Olaplex No. 3 is one of my favorites and I was super stoked when Sephora started carrying it. It truly is a lifesaver for color-treated (bleached) hair, and has saved my hair from damage so many times. I alternate between using it as a pre-shampoo mask and a post-shampoo mask in the shower. Regardless of the method, my hair is much softer, stronger, and nourished after I use this. If you’re trying to grow out your hair (like me!), I highly recommend HUM Hair Sweet Hair gummy vitamins (they’re vegan!).
Another product I’m obsessed with is coconut oil, and Kopari’s Coconut Melt is my favorite. It smells like a Samoa cookie, for one, and the formulation is much smoother than other types of coconut oil (i.e.: the inexpensive kind you get at the grocery store). Yes, it’s nearly $40, but that’s why it’s a must-have from the VIB sale! I use it as a pre-shampoo mask on my ends, a body moisturizer, and sometimes an eye makeup remover. Another Kopari favorite is their new non-toxic coconut deodorant that smells like – you guessed it – coconuts.
Kate Somerville Cold Cream Cleanser
I saw a tweet recently that said women have 4 different types of facial cleansers. That was basically me before I discovered this Cold Cream Cleanser by Kate Somerville that also functions as a makeup remover. I tend to wear full coverage makeup and lots of mascara, so I had initial doubts that this product would actually remove all traces of makeup and dirt from the day. Not only did it live up to its promise, it also left my skin smooth, soft, and balanced. For reference, I have oily skin, but this cleanser works for any skin type.
What’s your best skincare tip? Mine is using an overnight mask to hydrate, repair, and nourish my skin while I sleep. It’s been such a game changer for me. One of my favorites is this millennial pink, watermelon-scented Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask (it’s a bestseller!) which contains hyaluronic acid to tone and balance skin. It makes my skin much softer, clearer, and brighter the next morning. I like to alternate between this and my other sleeping masks so my skin doesn’t get used to a certain product (yes, it’s totally a thing). My other favorite overnight masks are Dr. Jart+ Cicapair Re.Pair Mask, which I tend to use when I’m having a stressful week and little sleep; Dr. Jart+ Water Fuse Hydro Sleep Mask, for when my skin looks dehydrated and dull; and Korres Wild Rose + Vitamin C Sleeping Facial when my skin needs a glow.
The VIB sale is the best time to get a discount on heat styling tools like a blow dryer or straightening iron. I LOVE this blowdryer from Drybar, which cuts my blow dry time in half and gives me a smooth blowout with minimal frizz (very important because my hair frizzes easily). I’ve had my blowdryer for over two years and have dropped it so many times, and it’s still in perfect condition. In my opinion, it’s a great investment if you blow dry your hair a lot, as it’s saved me from going to the salon all the time. Another favorite is the original GHD flat iron, which creates a sleek finish and minimal heat damage.
Since I already have all of these products, I’m definitely looking for recommendations on what to buy from the sale. Let me know any suggestions in the comments!
