Dress:
If there’s one wardrobe piece I look forward to every fall and winter it would have to be over-the-knee boots. Not only do they elevate your entire look but they can also elongate your legs which is a big deal if you’re 5’1″ (yes, you can totally wear OTK boots if you’re petite). I’ve been obsessed with these Stuart Weitzman highland boots in topo suede that feel like silk on my legs. And while OTK boots may seem like a basic fall staple to fashion people, it’s probably the most misunderstood shoe outside that circle. One quick Google search for OTK boots yields questions like “how to wear over the knee boots without looking trashy,” which is just sad. OTK boots are the #girlboss of shoes, boldly asserting their existence. My favorite way to style them is with skinny jeans and a sweater, but here I wore them with a dark floral dress and a side of green juice. Aside from the clothes, though, the most important element is confidence. OWN the shoes and don’t worry about other people’s opinions.
P.S.: I’m hooked on Reformation, which is where I snagged this red dress (on sale!). In the sea of fast fashion Zara’s and H&M’s, there are some truly sustainable brands and Reformation is one of them.
