Some things are worth buying from the drug store. Eye cream isn’t one of them. It seems like I’ve tried at least a dozen different eye creams over the past year and of course the most expensive one happens to be the most effective. Anti-aging has been a regular part of my beauty routine since I was 25 but it wasn’t until a couple months ago when I turned 28 that I started adding eye cream religiously before bed. My main concerns were crow’s feet, under eye circles, and looking more awake (you know you need eye cream when your coworkers point out you look tired!).
I had tried Caudalie’s Premier Cru eye cream as a sample from Sephora prior to purchasing it and noticed the area around my eyes looked smoother and brighter almost immediately despite not getting that much sleep. And after a month, I noticed my fine lines and crow’s feet were significantly diminished or gone. I was really surprised by the results because I thought that once you had a fine lines all you could do was prevent further aging but I was gladly proven wrong. Anti-aging products require patience for your cells to turnover and this one definitely delivered. Another reason to love this eye cream is it doesn’t contain phthalates, parabens, or sulfates, buy phentermine us which contribute to aging.
Here’s how to apply for best results: wash your face (duh. I use a gentle cleanser from Fresh) and make sure to remove all of your makeup which could clog your pores. I wear lots of eye makeup so I usually have to go over my eyes with eye makeup remover even after I wash my face. Then, while your face is still a bit damp, apply an eye serum. I started using this one from Shisiedo after I received it in my Birchbox. Eye serum may seem frivolous but it helps boost the benefits of your eye cream so it’s totally worth it depending on your anti-aging concerns. Finally, I apply my eye cream using one pump for both eyes for better absorption. If you have any left over just dab it on other areas of your skin like forehead wrinkles of laugh lines; I read that some celebrities use eye cream on their entire face because it absorbs better.
Yes, this eye cream is pricey but like I said above a little goes a long way and I bet this eye cream will last at least 7-9 months. What eye cream do you use? Let me know in the comments.
