My relationship with jewelry has changed a lot over the years. In college my motto was “the more the merrier,” layering multiple necklaces and bangles, and never leaving my dorm without a pair of statement earrings to take the city by storm (ok, that’s an exaggeration). Then a couple years ago I was all about that statement necklace to complete my outfit – bonus points if it had bold, colorful gems that garnered many likes on Instagram. Now? Well I’ve been kind of lost lately. My style is more minimalist since entering the workforce, which means – gasp!- almost never wearing jewelry.
Enter Rocksbox, a subscription box for jewelry that you can rent, swap, or buy each month. I got my first Rocksbox courtesy of the brand earlier this month and I’m already hooked. As with most things fashion, I need variety when it comes to accessories and I easily get bored of my jewelry collection, that’s why Rocksbox is perfect for me. I can get unlimited jewelry swaps each month or choose to buy what I really like for $10 off. Scroll down to see which pieces I’ll be keeping and swapping.

Undecided:
Melinda Maria – Mila Cuff in Gold. I’m really indecisive when it comes to shopping (never go shopping with me) and I can’t decide whether to keep or swap this gold cuff. I like how it’s simple enough to wear everyday. But is it too simple? Does it really add anything to my outfit? You be the judge.
Buying:

Gorjana, Taner Dagger Earrings in Gold. Here’s the thing, I probably wouldn’t have tried on these earrings had I seen them at a store (they’re a sharp deviation from the typical studded/gem earrings I typically wear). But upon trying them on I was in love. They’re lightweight and delicate enough to wear anywhere, including work, but they’re also sophisticated enough to dress up your weekend outfit. I could see wearing these for a lot of different occasions. I need to keep these earrings.
Swapping:

Perry Street – Eve Necklace. This is a cute statement necklace and as you can see it matches one of my dresses (!). I’ve also worn it with a silk white blouse to work for a pop of color. But I can see myself getting bored after wearing it for a month. Back it goes!
