I don’t usually go crazy for fashion brand collaborations, and I never really paid attention to the Lilly Pulitzer brand (gasp!) until the Target line launched. So, what made the Lilly Pulitzer line suddenly so intriguing that I stayed up until 2:30AM to get first dibs on shift dresses? Chalk it up to my longing for resort style after an extremely long winter, or the blogger collaboration with the impeccably stylish , or, more likely, the absurdly affordable prices for Palm Beach wardrobe staples. I only managed to buy the gold espadrilles and upstream shift dress before everything sold out, including my highly coveted Giraffeeee shift dress, which my Twitter pal Jonathan convinced me I needed. But I’m not about to resort to eBay for marked up pieces sold by greedy people looking to churn a profit. Instead, I turned to the Lilly Pulitzer site for real Lilly Pulitzer clothes that are more stylish than the Target line. Unfortunately, they are significantly more expensive and there’s no plus size option. Hopefully this post can help at least one person feel better about not getting the Nosie Posey dress (which sold out in under an hour). Scroll through for a roundup of my favorite Lilly Pulitzer shift dresses that aren’t sold out.
