As I’m sure you’ve already heard, October is breast cancer awareness month and several fashion and beauty brands are donating proceeds to various breast cancer foundations to raise awareness on the symptoms and treatment of breast cancer. Here are a couple of brands supporting the cause:
*: I recently discovered this brand after I received a gifted sample of the Cedar Rose PetiteEssence. The fragrance comes with a cotton wick flower petal that diffuses the scent into the air upon application. Although the floral notes evoke the joys of spring (long gone!), the scent is pretty strong so if you have sensitive olfactory senses, this may not be right for you. Like most diffusers, though, the scent gradually decreases so the strong scent is not a total deal breaker. The diffuser itself makes for pretty home decor and the flower petal almost resembles life when the wick is absorbed. Best of all, 35% of proceeds from Cedar Rose PetiteEssence sales will support the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. So, go out and buy one as a gift for your mom or treat yourself to one for your home or office.
*This sample was provided to me courtesy of the brand.
Ouidad: attention my fellow curly-haired friends! Ouidad is selling a cool and adorable limited-edition pink curl extension with 100% of proceeds going to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. I rarely wear my hair curly, but I’m tempted to buy this and embrace my natural hair.
Bloomingdales is giving out a Give Pink, Get More gift card that support breast cancer awareness as you shop, and Forever 21 is donating $1 of these pink ribbon shirts to The Keep a Breast Foundation to support breast cancer prevention. I’m surprised more brands aren’t donating to breast cancer awareness, but maybe I’m looking in the wrong places. Let me know in the comments of any other brands who supporting the cause.
