When several of my blogger friends raved about Pamella Roland’s prior fashion week shows, I knew the spring 2015 show wouldn’t disappoint. Sure enough, Pamella Roland drew praise and applause from fashion-goers for her relaxed yet elegant Kyoto-inspired collection focused on her signature gowns made of silk organza. Bold floral prints inspired by cherry blossoms and zen gardens create a look that feels youthful and contemporary while simultaneously paying homage to traditional Japanese garments. Highlights include flutter sleeved and flutter back gowns (my favorite), corded waists, and, of course, the recurring cherry blossom motif. Now I can join the blogger cult in adoring Pamella Roland; I can’t wait to wear one (or two?!) of these gowns someday.
Take a look at some of my favorite pieces from the collection, including the bridal dress that closed the show.
