I always enjoy ‘save or splurge’ posts on other blogs, so why not do one here? I came across a cotton eyelet skirt from Zara that looks almost identical to the more expensive eyelet skirt from Tibi. Of course, you can always count on fast fashion to imitate runway favorites, and in this case you’d be saving almost $340 in the process. Both skirts have the same mid-length hem, checkered overlay, and boxy pleats. Even more uncanny, in both images the models are wearing a matching white top, and though I love white, an all-white ensemble has never been my thing. I’d pair the skirt it with black or coral or my new favorite color of the season – yellow, instead. But now for the hundred dollar question: can you tell which skirt is from Tibi? More importantly, is the Tibi skirt worth it? I love Tibi but seeing as the Zara skirt is just as perfect, it would be hard to justify the cost, especially with pre-fall clothes already hitting stores (Nordstrom, I’m looking at you).
