It wasn’t too long ago when I deemed the fruit-pattern, made popular by the Mother of Pearl S/S ’14 show, woefully distasteful (sorry, couldn’t help it.). But like overalls and normcore, the trend grew on me after only a couple of #StyleChats and, especially, online window shopping. The other day, I stumbled upon a pair of ornate pineapple-printed pants that look just as scrumptious (sorry, again!), as they are stylish. And, as someone who is a tad exhausted from the floral print, the latest addition of watermelons, lemons, and pineapples grazing everything from clothes to accessories is a refreshing (last time, I swear!) alternative. The print seems most appropriate for a picnic or basking in the sun with a glass of lemonade though, it also presents professionally as this lemon peplum confirms. If you still haven’t given the fruit print a chance, scroll through these looks and let me know what you think in the comments. If you’re still not feeling the fruits, check out this vintage-inspired popsicle print dress.
