Unapologetically feminine and universally flattering, the wrap dress maintains its signature bold prints at DvF’s fall 2014 show during New York Fashion Week.
When Diane von Furstenberg launched the jersey wrap dress in 1974, it quickly became a staple in women’s workwear, symbolizing sartorial feminism during the women’s liberation movement. Forty years later, the wrap dress is still an emblem of feminine empowerment in the workplace, displacing the more restrictive trousers and pencil skirts. Indeed, von Furstenberg’s famous slogan “Feel like a woman, wear a dress” resonates with the woman who wants to feel comfortable and sexy.
I still own my first can you buy phentermine online wrap dress from college. It is one of my favorite dresses, comfortable and versatile enough for job interviews (when layered under a blazer), work, school, and parties. One time I paired the violet dress with mint-colored boots and received at least ten compliments from random strangers – I’m not kidding. This is all to say that the wrap dress has no rules or limits; it’s the most liberating dress for the liberated woman (sorry, that was really cheesy). Scroll down to shop wrap dresses from DvF.
