Pink coats were literally everywhere on the streets during New York Fashion Week, but on the runway, outerwear took on a darker hue. Shades of purple including berry, violet, mauve, and lavender were trending at the fall 2014 shows this week, while Pantone’s color of the year (and the color every blogger loves to hate), Radiant Orchid, was conspicuously absent. My favorite pieces include a lavender jacket from 3.1 Phillip Lim and mauve cocoon coat from Noon by Noor.
