You may remember that during the latter half of 2013 I entered my oil phase. Lotions were swapped in favor of sophisticated argan and jojoba face and body oils. Even shower oils became my go-to for a while. I pretty much decided lotions were passé? and inferior to their lightweight counterparts for moisturizing winter-scathed skin.
Then I tried STEAMCREAM.
Made in United Kingdom, STEAMCREAM is the most virtuous of lotions – it’s handmade (yes, handmade!), vegan, environmentally-friendly, and not tested on animals. It is developed using natural ingredients fused together by a shot of steam (hence, the name), giving it a silky whipping texture that is comparable to a body oil. For those who are sensitive to scent, you’ll be glad to know the fragrant blend of orange flower water, cocoa butter, and lavender oil is gentle on the olfactory sense. More importantly, it quickly absorbs into skin without leaving your hands sticky and retains hydration for hours.
You can apply STEAMCREAM to your face, body, and hands. So far, I’ve only used it on my hands and body since my face has a strict skincare regimen and I don’t like to deviate from my routine (beauty routines are serious business). But who knows, I may just give it a try soon.
