really good primer provides a base for makeup to shine (or mattify, rather), minimizes pores and fine lines, and moisturizes skin. I especially find myself wearing a primer if I’m wearing makeup that is drying or too shiny. Without further ado, here are my tried-and-true primer picks.
Pores No More – Pore Refiner: I was stoked to receive this goodie in my LuckyFABB gift bag last month. I mostly apply this to my nose to combat any shininess (a shiny buy phentermine mastercard nose makes for a bigger nose, after all). Perfect for oily/combination skin (like my own), you can apply this under or over makeup, though I tend to use it under makeup. It shrinks pores, evens skin tone, and absorbs excess oil. My one complaint is that I wish it were more moisturizing, but we can’t always have it all…or can we?
DDF Wrinkle Resist Plus Pore Minimizer: A silky, moisturizing finish, I apply this directly after my moisturizer and right before my salicylic acid-infused CC cream to prevent drying. It leaves my skin smooth, though a tad bit shiny. However, it also works to stimulate collagen and regenerate skin with continued use. This is definitely a keeper for anyone who suffers from dry skin.
LAFACE Laboratories PROTÉGÉR Age Defying Primer: This is the ONLY primer that I’ve found that actually diminishes the appearance of fine lines with just one use, isn’t shiny, and moisturizes skin. Infused with vitamin C and Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil, this multitasking primer proves that we can have it all. It leaves my skin velvety and smooth; sometimes I wear it without makeup.
Now for the surprise I alluded to earlier. Today through Dec. 8 Style Context readers can get 20% off a full size LAFACE Laboratories PROTÉGÉR Age Defying Primer with coupon code: STYLECONTEXT20. Exciting right?
