I realize it’s probably too soon to discuss holiday dresses when Thanksgiving is still a week away, but I couldn’t resist. I stumbled upon a couple of these party dresses on Pinterest and knew I had to make a list of my favorites that encompass this season’s trends. Moreover, I’m hoping they will be on sale for Black Friday (we can hope, right?). Whether you’re in the mood for metallics, sequins, or a little black dress, I’ve got you covered for all your holiday festivities.
Where do I start with this intimidatingly cool dress by Milly? It has a leather bustier, emerald florals, and a voluminous skirt. Emerald is one of my favorite tones this season (and has been since last year) so you can imagine how much I fawned over this dress. Complete the look with a statement necklace (or multiple necklaces) and earrings.
‘Tis the season for metallics. I love the simplicity of this DKNY dress, which epitomizes the brand’s effortless style. This is one of the rare cases in which I would not add a statement necklace; the dress simply doesn’t need it.
Does this dress remind anyone else of Betty Draper? I’m pretty sure I’ve seen her wear something similar on Mad Men at some point. Needless to say, this dress is gorgeous. Pair with velvet lace-up booties for a romantic touch or moto boots for an edgier juxtaposition (and if you want to look less like Betty Draper).
Tulle has been trending lately and I couldn’t be happier. I especially love seeing the fabric paired with casual clothing. It just makes everything seem brighter, and this dress is no exception.
A romantic, gothic twist on the little black dress. Brighten up this lace piece from BB Dakota with a ruby or emerald statement necklace and sequined clutch.
