If you follow me on Twitter or Instagram you know that my birthday was last weekend on November 2nd. Perhaps unsurprisingly, I was more pleased by the warm weather than turning 26 (you could almost hear me lamenting how old I felt!). It was so warm in fact that I traded my faux fur coat for a lightweight leather jacket. However, I kept the Elie Tahari coral sheath dress, which perfectly matched my strawberry birthday cake. I was a little unsure about whether to wear a spring dress in fall, but coral is one of my favorite colors and the fall weather has been more akin to spring than usual. I also dislike confining my wardrobe to a seasonal palette, as evidenced by my love for pastels for fall. As you probably know by now, I am a lover of contrasts and mixing dark and light colors is part of my signature style.
Oh, and that gem statement necklace. It was a fabulous birthday gift from J.Crew that I had been coveting for a while (this is the benefit of maintaining a wish list on Pinterest).
What do you think about donning coral in fall? Yay or nay?
