As Paris Fashion Week wrapped up yesterday, Marc Jacobs revealed his (much-speculated) decision to step down as designer from Louis Vuitton after a sixteen-year tenure. The decision comes as Jacobs prepares to take his eponymous brand public by 2016. While yesterday’s Louis Vuitton showgirl-inspired show for spring 2014 was Marc Jacobs’s last, let’s take a moment to revel in his past shows before saying goodbye. When else are we going to see a carousel, train, and escalator on a runway show?
