We might look different but we’ve remained true to our roots! As of today, Style Context has officially transitioned from wordpress.com to wordpress.org (a laborious, but necessary, process, mind you). Luckily, all content has successfully transferred, which means you can still bookmark my article on Twitter do’s and don’ts, or read up on how to get Cara Delevingne’s eyebrows (whew!). You may have noticed that all previous comments are missing; that’s because I’ve replaced the original WordPress comments platform with DISQUS, which is more conducive to engagement and generating community. I’m sad to see those comments lost in cyberspace, but I welcome you to create new comments as you are as much a part of Style Context as I am. This blog wouldn’t serve a purpose without you, after all.
What do these changes mean to you if you’re a business or a blogger? Because I’ve transitioned to a self-hosted site, I have more freedom to engage in partnerships and sponsorships. Coming soon you will have the option to purchase ad space to gain exposure, provided that your brand or blog is a good fit with Style Context. If interested, please inquire within.
Rome wasn’t built in a day, and neither will Style Context, which will enter its fourth month in mid-August. Over the next few days, you’ll notice a few design tweaks to enhance your experience on here. I’m open to any and all suggestions from devoted readers and fellow bloggers. Until then, be sure to keep in touch by subscribing via email, and following me on Bloglovin’, Pinterest, and Twitter.
