It’s no secret that I’m sort of obsessed with nail polish. It’s very difficult to resist the urge to buy nail polish every time I enter a beauty store. For months, I’ve been looking for since stumbling upon the retro mauve color on Pinterest. Needless to say, I’ve had little luck in finding it. Actually, that’s not entirely true; I found it on Amazon for nearly $30! Luckily, I found a cheaper, similar alternative to Parlez-vous from butter London — Scoundrel. You’ll notice that Scoundrel is slightly darker than Parelz-vous, however you can probably get a lighter color by using only one coat (I used two).
After weeks of wearing mint-colored nail polish, I was ready to trade it in for this pretty purple shade. On a side note, this was my first time using butter nail lacquer, and I think I prefer it over Essie and OPI. The brush is smaller, which is better for a cleaner manicure; the polish also goes on more smoothly and dries faster. I was surprised to see that my nails looked great with only one coat, but out of habit I added an additional coat.
Which color do you prefer, Parlez-vous or Scoundrel? Have you found a BL version that looks more similar to Parlez-vous?
