Finally got my April box from Birchbox! Unfortunately, I did not get the I was hoping for, but here’s what I did get:
Ojon rare blend deep conditioner – I’ve tried Ojon samples in the past and I’m pretty stoked to try this! Especially since my highlighted locks badly need the treatment.
Supergoop! Advanced anti-aging eye cream – So far, I’ve only tried this once before going out; it contains SPF 37, which is great because I live in Florida. It’s too early to tell whether this product works. It’s a bit thick for an eye cream, but it seemed to blend well without flaking like some other sunscreens (Photoderm, I’m looking at you).
Caudalie Huile Divine body oil – I LOVE THIS. Though I’ve used assorted body oils in the past (argan oil, VS massage oil), I’ve never actually fallen in love with one, like I have with Caudalie. The sensual scent is a mix of grape, hibiscus, sesame, and argan. I will definitely be purchasing this once I run out of the sample (which is already half full).
Juice Beauty CC Cream (warm glow) – This sample was a pleasant surprise – I’ve been wanting to try CC cream since seeing it around on Pinterest. I’m generally hesitant to buy new foundation or foundation-like makeup before trying a sample. I’ve been a loyal user of Dior Snow BB cream for the past buy generic phentermine no prescription year, but took a break from my regular makeup routine to try Juice Beauty. Unlike BB cream, CC (which stands for color/complexion correction) cream seeks to repair discoloration and age spots. I’ve used it about 3 times thus far – once in conjunction with my BB cream. Here’s what I found so far: in contrast to my BB cream, this is far more lightweight and, therefore, provides less coverage. It’s the least makeup-y foundation-like makeup I’ve ever used on my face, which is kind of a good thing. I like the feeling that I’m not wearing anything at all and I’m not clogging my pores. It’s too early to tell whether this CC cream will replace my BB cream, but I could see using this on a daily basis for a more au naturel look, and saving the BB cream for special occasions. As a lot of other reviewers have said, this product doesn’t have the best scent, but it’s not a total deal breaker. It’s also worth mentioning that this product IS organic, which compensates for the not-so-great scent.
Elizabeth Arden Visible Difference Skin Balancing Skincare – this sample consists of an exfoliating cleanser, a skin serum, and SPF lotion. I’m not sure if the exfoliator is better than my St. Ives Apricot exfoliator, but I do like the skin serum, which makes my skin feel smooth and soft.
