NYFW F/W 2016: Lovely Gowns at Leanne Marshall

On Saturday I was invited to see the debut of Leanne Marshall’s (yes, the Project Runway season 5 winner) gowns at her New York Fashion Week show. Based on the photos you can tell the gowns weren’t your standard evening dresses. They had movement, detail and personality – a life of their own. The runway performance was breathtaking as the gowns flowed from side to side, revealing an intricate back that was just as interesting as the front of the dress,  reminiscent of Oscar de la Renta. I could see J. Law or Cate Blanchett wearing these gowns (especially the gray one) at a a red carpet event like the Oscars. Here are the dresses I want to wear now from the collection:
