Spring officially sprung this past week and over the next few months you’ll be inundated with spring/summer style inspiration on just about every fashion blog. Of course, I’ve been writing about spring since winter (we fashion insiders are always one season ahead), and come July, I predict I will be ready for fall. That said, a couple weeks ago, I published a guest post from Morgan Gray on spring cleaning and last month I wrote about my obsession with jumpsuits, which, by the way, you should totally go out and buy. Several posts on spring fashion made the weekly roundup on Independent Fashion Bloggers, including my article on debunking petite fashion myths, which features several trends you should try this season such as – but especially – midi skirts. If you haven’t yet, take a look at the article and check out the other awesome reads below. Happy spring!
This week in fashion has been bittersweet. First we lost a very talented woman, L’Wren Scott. Then the end of a particularly brutal Winter, Spring has officially begun. It’s the changing of the guard, endings and beginnings, reminding us that nothing is forever. We have several links that challenge both old ideas (racism, sexism, both) and how to bring in the new (setting our Spring budget, getting to the gym, improving our diets) and even a nicely written post sympathizing with Fashion Blogger’s significant others — they have it so hard putting up with us!
