When you’re writing about fashion and beauty full-time it’s hard not to fall into the habit of wanting everything you come across. That’s why there’s wish lists. Wish lists serve as a temporary high akin to shopping, consisting of items that may or may not be purchased in the near future, and may or may not be purchased by you. They are helpful for anyone interested in buying you a gift by conveying a sense of your aesthetic and preferences. And, most importantly, wish lists allow my fickle mind time to decide whether or not to make a purchase. Now that I’ve justified the importance of a wish list, I’d like to share my own in addition to other bloggers’ from Pinterest. Hopefully these lists will give you inspiration for your own gift guide, as well as what to treat yourself to when those after Christmas sales come around.
First off is Simone from , whom I met at NYFW last September. Simone’s style embodies downtown cool à la Alexander Wang. Luckily, I got her to start using Pinterest for this blogger collaboration (yes!) and for good reason – she’s got fabulous taste.
“These are items that I am currently wishing would be in the palm of my hands. Majority of the items are clothes, because you can never have too many; but other items are things that I also would like to have such as Honey perfume by Marc Jacobs. OMG! It smells so good!” Check out the rest of her wish list.
I met Ellen from Ask Away Blog during the LuckyFABB conference in October and she is such a warm, humble, funny person. So glad I got to meet her. Here’s what she had to say about her wish list:
“Basically, I made a list of what I need and would really love to have in order to make my life easier. There are a few guilty pleasures but mostly some tech items that would help with blogging!”
Love what you see? I, for one, am loving that chihuahua necklace. Check out the rest here.
I recently met Elham, a fellow beauty blogger, from Glossy Glam on Twitter. You’ll notice her list is full of beauty products…and Channing Tatum. I thought that was the funniest thing ever. But seriously, who wouldn’t add Channing Tatum to their wish list?
And finally, my wish list. I don’t think it’s a surprise that I have more items on my wish list board than anyone here. Very often you’ll hear me say “I need this” in response to something cute, such as that round vestige lipstick holder or tartan mugs below. Don’t worry, I’ve learned not to conflate wants and needs. That MoroccanOil treatment is a need, though…
What’s on your wish list? Share it wish us in the comments. xx
